The Cube
THE CUBE symbolises our emotional fragility. When we emotionally break down, we do not, in fact, break and fall apart; we fall open, exposing our vulnerability. All our parts are still there, but we are tasked with learning how to untangle them to put ourselves back together. It challenges the notion of value we place on objects and our obsession with outward appearances. By elevating the external industrial materials and concealing the gold within, the work compels viewers to consider hidden value before passing judgment.
